This policy explains what information ArtPudding’s tools and this site handle, why it is used and how it is stored.

Processing on your device
Text, numbers, images, files and other data you enter or import into a tool are processed on your device. This data is not sent to or stored on ArtPudding’s servers for tool processing. Inputs and results remain in the state of the open tool while you use it.
What stays on your device
Display preferences and data from tools that keep things for you are saved only on this device. They stay until you or your browser clears them.
What’s saved
- Theme, accent color and display preference
- Whether to always open at the top
- QR camera quality and scan history (up to 10 entries)
- Color Picker palette (up to 50 colors) and whether to ask for a name when adding a color
- Chromatic Tuner and String Instrument Tuner settings
- Draft Pad drafts and display settings (footer, guide lines, keyboard shortcuts and sparkles)
Scan history includes the decoded content, scan source and time. Wi-Fi QR codes that may contain a password are not saved in history. The original scanned images are not saved either. A palette includes color codes, names or notes, and information about when or in what order colors were added. Images used to pick colors are not saved.
Removing saved information
Clearing this site’s data in your browser deletes all saved tool data and display preferences. Delete saved data in Settings also removes everything ArtPudding has saved, and nothing else. See each tool’s instructions for deleting individual items. You can delete QR scan history in the QR Code Reader and saved colors in the Color Picker. A Draft Pad draft is deleted when you clear its text. Browser settings and private browsing may limit what can be saved. Needless to say, the operator has no way to access data saved on your device, so there’s nothing to worry about.
Loading and protecting the site
Loading pages, images and programs requires a connection. ArtPudding uses Cloudflare for delivery and protection. Connection information such as IP addresses, destinations, times and browser or device information may be processed for delivery, reliability and security. This does not send your tool input for processing. Cloudflare also describes its handling of information in its privacy policy.
Device features and external actions
Features that need browser permission, such as the camera, are used when you choose the feature and grant permission. You can change permissions in browser settings. Actions such as sharing, downloading, copying and opening external links pass data to the destination you choose. External services and your operating system have their own policies.
Advertising and analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many times pages are viewed.
What is Cloudflare?
The company with the orange cloud logo, familiar from the “Are you human?” check on websites.
The information used is only rough, for example:
“Someone in Japan, using Safari on a phone (iOS), came from Google search results, opened the home page, and it loaded in one second.”
No cookies are used, and IP addresses are not used to tell individuals apart. Nothing you enter into a tool is sent. Rest easy.
We also count which pages are opened, and how often, to see which tools people use. The only thing sent is which page it was. Nothing you type into a tool is sent. No cookies are used, and no ID that could tell you apart from anyone else.
So that opening the same page twice in a row isn't counted twice, the time of each count is remembered in this tab only. On our side, your IP address is compared for ten seconds and then dropped. It is never saved with the counts. All that is kept is how many times each page was opened.
We may use cookies through advertising services in the future, but we do not use them now. We will update this policy and provide any required notice if collection methods or purposes change.
Inquiry information and requests
We use Google Forms for inquiries. We use the name, email address, inquiry category and message you submit to respond to you and investigate reported issues. To request access to, correction of, or an end to the use of personal information we hold from your inquiry, or to request its deletion, please use the Contact us form on Home. We handle these requests within the conditions and scope set out in applicable law. Google handles form information under its privacy policy. We review this policy as the service changes.
